Brainspotting is a powerful, focused treatment method that works by identifying, processing and releasing core neurophysiological sources of emotional/body pain, trauma, dissociation and a variety of other challenging symptoms.
Brainspotting is a fairly new technique and only recently practised in South Africa. It was developed by Dr David Grand from New York, a psychotherapist, writer, lecturer, performance coach and humanitarian. His work has been featured on
- CNN
- NBC
- Oprah Magazine
- New York Times
- Nightline
- The Jane Pauley Show
- Extra
- The Washington Post
- Golf Digest and
- Newsday
So let’s hear it from the Big Boss – Listen to his explanation
They say: “Time heals all wounds”
I say: “ NO , that is BS!! You have to do your part!!”
Brainspotting Therapy will help you if you experience the following:
- Past Traumatic Events
- Anxiety & Depression
- Fear of Public Speaking/Singing
- Sports Performance Plateau
- Bullying
Clients often fall into two categories.
> The 1st being those who are seeking therapy for the first time.
> The 2nd is people who have been in therapy before who are seeking a therapist with new techniques.
With focus and precision, one can find with eye positions (Brainspots) where the trauma, anxiety, depression or behavioural problems are held in the brain. This allows the brain to process from the inside out and from the bottom up.

Trauma and stress is not the same thing! Trauma is an overwhelming amount of stress due to a traumatic event that exceeds your ability to cope. All our traumatic events are stored in our subconscious minds. You can only reverse those events before the age of 7, or through Brainspotting. In one session we can open the file in your subconscious mind and erase the trauma, associated with certain events. Let’s do filing!
